Go take The Geek Test and see how you fare. I'm pretty much hopeless at "61.14398% - Extreme Geek". But I would have scored much higher if it gave out extra points for people who check the source of the page before filling it out to see if they have to enable JavaScript or not in order to complete the form.
Okay, so it's Tuesday night, just reruns and other crap on the tube, so I take the "little" test.
I scored 16%.
I'm disappointed I didn't score higher. Isn't that kinda geeky??
Posted by suzi at June 10, 2003 9:33 PMI think the lower your score the more of a life you have, Suzi. :-)

I'm a little disappointed too. But I was pretty strict as far as stuff that was mine or jointly acquired, rather than "in my house and which I'm familiar with" (music, etc.); if I'd included that stuff, the score would have been higher...

Although I'm not sure if these questions were weighted correctly. Also there have probably been enough respondants to perform some kind of analysis to more finely hone the weighting of the questions.
I am saddened that T edged me out. If only *I* had married Bill after dating him online. Sigh.
Posted by E at June 11, 2003 6:57 PMActually, I think that means I am not interesting enough to be a geek. I was doing great on TV, movies, books and online mating...uh, finding a mate online, I mean. But I am the opposite of a computerhead, which really cost me points.
Posted by suzi at June 11, 2003 8:28 PMYeah, but I bet you had actual dates with the opposite sex in high school, right? Not all of us were in "that space". Or even knew where it was. Or how to get some. Or something.
I think E is right: it's weighted toward a particular kind of outcast.
I also think E is wrong: he has far too much body hair for me to marry him.
Posted by wee at June 11, 2003 8:38 PMAw, sweetie, you could always give me a little trim.
Posted by E at June 20, 2003 11:16 AM29% geek (total geek) I tried to not be so geeky
